With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lisa K Hovinga in Palo, Iowa, born in Estherville, Iowa, who passed away on June 28, 2022 at the age of 61. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Edmund Herke and Fern Herke (Lewis); her sister Diane Alesch (Tony); and her nephew Douglas Herke. She is survived by: her husband Jerry Hovinga of Emmetsburg; her children, Nathan Hovinga (Heather Cochran) of Algona and Dakota Laidig (Brandon) of Tiffin; her grandchildren, Kaylee Hovinga and Levi; her sons, Owen and Graham Laidig; her brother Doug Herke (Mary); and her cousin Jackie Holm. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.

For many years she was on boards for the Labor Day Committee, Hillcrest Golf Course, and the Graettinger School Foundation.
