He was loved and cherished by many people including: his sons, Jerome of Palo and Zale of Vinton; his sister Janis Owens of Palo; his daughter-in-law Chris of Vinton; his partner Annah Woge of Palo; his grandchildren, Phillip, Nicholas, Brooke, Benjamin, Rashid, Michelle and Amber (Cassandra); his son John Edwin Owens; his sister Jean Owens; his grandmother Dessie Owens; his brother Joseph Owens; and his parents, John Owens and Hattie Penrose Owens. He was also cherished by 16 great grandchildren.
