It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frank J. Smith of Palo, Iowa, born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, who passed away on November 2, 2020, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Smith and Dora Smith; his son Jeffrey; his sister Janice Sanders; his parents-in-law, Roy and Ina Sackett; and his siblings-in-law, Martin Sackett and Carol Poyner.
He is survived by: his wife Jennie Sackett; his children, Frank "Joe" Smith Jr. of Palo, Cathy Wyckoff (Jim) of Fairfield, Lynne Smith (Joe Ernster) of Cedar Rapids, Jerry Smith of Vinton, Susan Lynch (Chris) of Roswell, Georgia, Sherri Shropshire (Wes) of Bluffton and Carol Elwick (Andrew) of Vinton; and his siblings, Esther Little of Marshalltown, Ronald Smith (Maxine) of Cedar Rapids and Larry Smith (Marcia) of Troy Mills. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
