He was predeceased by: his parents, Donald Koenighain and Leona Koenighain (Kutcher); his brother-in-law Vince Finnegan; his niece Jennifer Koenighain; and his nephew Shawn Finnegan.
He is survived by: his wife Bonnie J. Schropp; his uncle Vern; his sons, Mike Koenighain (Stacey) and Chad Koenighain (Stacy); his grandchildren, Lindsay, Zoe, Blake, Cameron and Carter Koenighain; and his siblings, Rose Finnegan, Carol Hansen, Gene Koenighain Donald (Delores) and Leon Koenighain (Marilyn). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in his memory.
