He was predeceased by: his parents, Cletus Meade and Esther Meade (Stanton); his wife Elaine Wagner; and his siblings, Dorothy Meade, Barbara Sternad (Donnie), Duane Meade, Laverne Meade and Gerald Meade (Mary).
He is survived by: his children, Bryan Meade, Chris Weldon (Bill) and Renee Madden (Kirk); his grandchildren, David, Rachel Meade, Andrea, Joe, Alyssa Weldon, Kyle, Malana Madden and Macy Dresser (Zach); his great grandchildren, Dylan, Dawson, Milo Dresser and Ellie Meade; his siblings, Donna Meade, Mary Sue Miller (Amos) and Richard Meade (Sharon); his sister-in-law Ginny Meade; and his caregivers, Pulmonary and Internal Medicine.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established for Iowa City Hospice and St. Peter Catholic Church.
