She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Meade and Helen Meade (Klein); her husband Albert L. Barnes, Sr.; and her sister Miriam. She is survived by: her children, Al Barnes (Lori Schultz) of Sunrise Beach, MO, John Barnes (Marianne) of Swisher, Bonnie McFarland (Guy) of Iowa City, Jim Barnes (Jan) of Riverside, Deb Rogers (Bob) of Iowa City and Kevin Barnes (Lisa) of Iowa City; and her siblings, Thelma Kolar of Oxford, Jane Dostal of Grinnell and Bob Meade (Lee) of Oxford. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Mary's Church or Iowa City Hospice.
