He was predeceased by: his parents, George Benhart and Blanche Benhart (Hamdorf); his brothers, Ronald and George Benhart; and his half-brothers, Pete Jensen and Richard Benhart.
He is survived by: his sons, Ron Benhart (Amy) of Lowden and Bevin Benhart (Crystal) of Lowden; and his half-sister Barb Temple-Hagge. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren.
