He is survived by: his wife Cindy Herman; his children, Kory Herman (Kassie) of Olin, Chelsey Gatewood of Cedar Rapids and Kendal Herman of Hiawatha; his stepsons, Kristopher Gilson of Oxford Junction and Nicholas Gilson (Cassi) of Onslow; and his siblings, Ronnie Herman of Hopkinton, Don Herman of Anamosa, Sharon Clark (Stuart) of Tipton and Sheryl McDonald (Duane) of Anamosa. He is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, one great grandson.
