He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilmer Blomgren and Susie Blomgren; his stepmother Edith Blomgren; his wife Barbara Orr; his grandparents, Emanuel, Matilda Blomgren, William and Rose Waters; his sisters, Marilyn Blomgren, Mary Sue Slay and Sharon Speck; his nephew Kevin Bunch; and his siblings-in-law, Robert Clark and Corrine Blomgren.
He is survived by: his daughter Lana Helm (Steve) of Ottumwa; his grandchildren, Donovan Helm (Kat) of Belleville, WI, Connor Helm of Ottumwa and Taylor Boyenga (Jordan) of Kalispell, MT; his siblings, Sherry Clark of Centerville, Jerry Blomgren of Ottumwa and Judy Jones (Bill) of Albia; his friend Connie Clark of Oskaloosa; and also, Ashley, TJ and Liam.
The family will donate all memorials to the Welcome Home Soldier Memorial in Albia and EveryStep Hospice in Centerville.
