He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Pope and Lillian Pope (Martin); his close friend Peggy Miller; his brother Steven Pope; and his niece Jackie Lawrence.
He is survived by: his former spouses, Deb Price and Sherri Carter; his son Greg Dye of Cedar Rapids, IA; his grandson Ryan Dye; and his siblings, Charlie Pope of Southern Nevada, David Pope (Lisa) of Elkader, IA, Merle Pope (Karen) of Topeka, KS, Terry Pope (Marisol) of Des Moines, IA and Vivian Lawrence of Albia, IA.. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and good friends.
A memorial has been established to the Monroe County Little League/Jack Pope Field.
