He was predeceased by: his parents, Phillip Barnes and Ada Mae Barnes; and his nephew Knapp. He is survived by: his siblings, Roland Barnes (Jessie) of Ottumwa and Karen Knapp (Jerry) of Lovilia. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed in memory of Marvin Joe Barnes to assist with funeral expenses.
