She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Norris and Lela Brown Norris; her son James Brian Garrels; and her siblings, Jim Norris, Sally Eakins, Joe Norris and Patsy.
She is survived by: her former husband James "Jim" Garrels; her children, Melissa Covert (Mike) of Vienna, WV and Kim Green (Tom "Mo") of Bloomfield, IA; and her brother Jerry Norris (Karen) of Brighton, IA. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, extended family and friends.
