He was predeceased by: his parents, Margaret Smithart (Scholes) and Richard Smithart; and his sister Betty Mitchell. He is survived by: his siblings, Hazel Harrison, LeRoy O'Laughlin, Robert O'Laughlin, Judy Brandon, Jack Enloe and Jerry Scholes.
