He was predeceased by: his parents, Delbert Hood and Mable Hood (Flaherty); his grandson Syrus Hood; his stepfather Charles Mills; and his brother Edward Hood.
He is survived by: his sons, Craig Hood (Taliltha) of Fort Dodge and John Hood (Stacey) of Fort Dodge; his grandchildren, Haleigh Hood, Cole Hood, Mackinna Hood, Antonio Martinez, Miguel Martinez, Elijah Hood and Tatiana Martinez; his great grandchildren, Oakley Nelson and Hadley Hood; his nephews, Brian and Mark Hood; his niece Patty Hood; and his wife Linda Lara.
