He was predeceased by: his parents, Dean Avery and Charlene Lydia James (Baessler); and his brother Dr. William Karl James. He is survived by: his siblings, Julie Breitbach (Joe) of Waverly, IA, Paul James of Liberty Lake, WA and Neal James (Molly) of Swisher, IA.. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
