With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Phillip Olson of Ossian, Iowa, born in Aberdeen, South Dakota, who passed away on July 21, 2021 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Maurice Olson and Arlene Olson (Nelson); his brother Roy; his cousin David Olson; and also Jack Berry.

He is survived by: his wife Virginia "Ginny" Johnson; his children, Ana Olson-Johnson (Matthew Johnson), Martha Jensen (Tony) of Rochester, MN, Maryn Olson (Angela Fulton), Andrew Olson (Janelle) of Roseville, MN and Amy Olson; his grandchildren, Rachel, Aaron Johnson, Aurora, Aleia Jensen, Noelle, Sofia and Solveig Olson; his sister Eileen Brandt (Ed); his sister-in-law Deb Mckeiver; his cousin Julie Berry; and also Roberta Olson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Everyone attending is asked to please wear a mask.

Memorials may be made to Lutheran World Relief, ELCA World Hunger, St. Peter Lutheran Church or a local charity of your choice.
