He is survived by: his children, Wil Whitten (Karen) and Krystal Valster (Josh) of Des Moines; his grandchildren, Amanda Eden, Ashley Whitten, Austin Whitten, Awna Valster and Aubree Valster; his great grandchild Lynn Eden; his father William Clyde Whitten (Gail); and his siblings, Kelsie Smith (Randy) and Ken.
