With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Wilbur Verploegh of Oskaloosa, Iowa, born in Eddyville, Iowa, who passed away on April 4, 2022 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Christian Verploegh and Gertrude Cornelison Verploegh; his wife Donna Essary; his daughters-in-law, Angel Verploegh and Gayle Verploegh; his siblings, Hank, John, Christian Verploegh and Anna Lehman; and his brother-in-law Karl Mich.
He is survived by: his sons, Doug Verploegh (Tawnya) of Oskaloosa and Dennis Verploegh of Oskaloosa; his grandson D. J. Verploegh; his sister Christina Mich of Oskaloosa; and his stepgrandchildren, Gary, Teeanna and Jayden Overton.
