He was predeceased by: his parents, David Jay and Gladys Marie Brown (Hartgrave); his wife Catherine; and his siblings, Harry, Frank, Albert, Kenneth, John Brown, Kathryn Rosetta and Betty Darlene Brown.
He is survived by: his godson Scott Fenske of Rochester, Minnesota.. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
