It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Vivian Eileen Shepard of Oskaloosa, Iowa, born in Centerville, Iowa, who passed away on September 16, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Leon Hixenbaugh and Marjorie Johnson Hixenbaugh; her husband Wes Shepard; and her grandson Kole Andrew Shepard. She is survived by: her child K's; her children-in-law, Kimberly and David Gile of Oskaloosa; her child Kris; her children-in-law, Ruth Shepard of Kohler, Kirk and Keri Shepard of Oskaloosa; her grandchildren, Kyle, Luke (Sara), Mikaela, Neela Shepard, Alex, Travis Gile, Korey and Kalianna Shepard; and her siblings, Virginia Buban (John) of Knoxville, Beverly Watson of Des Moines, Barbara Lewis of Des Moines, Don Hixenbaugh (Mary Kay) of Knoxville and Ron Hixenbaugh (Leea) of Des Moines. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

According to the rules put in place by the Iowa Department of Public Health, proper social distancing and reasonable personal protective equipment is advised for attending a religious public event.
