It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Verna Bolibaugh of Oskaloosa, Iowa, born in Montezuma, Iowa, who passed away on April 13, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Hiram Walker and Fern Eva Walker (Lockard); her husband Donald Bolibaugh; her siblings, Venzel Lockard, Melvin "Bud" Walker Sr. and Grace Mason; and her grandmother Leopard.
She is survived by: her children, Rebecca Leu (Jeff) of Ottumwa, Wade Bolibaugh of Oskaloosa and Grant Bolibaugh of Oskaloosa; her grandchildren, Ethan, Blake Leu, Veronica, Waylon and Vivian Bolibaugh; her siblings, Nora Reece of Cedar Rapids, Esther Richards of Perry and Dean Walker (Joyce) of Hiawatha; her sister-in-law Marie Bolibaugh of Eddyville; and also Alice DeRooi (John) of Grinnell.
According to the rules put in place by the Iowa Department of Public Health, proper social distancing and appropriate personal protective equipment are advised for attending these public events.
