He was predeceased by: his parents, James Walter and Carmen Pelong (Rogers); and his sisters, Linda Claver and Janetta Almond. He is survived by: his wife Cindy Jo Godlove of Oskaloosa; his father-in-law John; his son Jacob James Pelong of Fremont, IA; his stepson Jared Gene West of Oskaloosa; his grandchildren, Sydney Knoot of Coralville, IA, Alivia Vandenberg of Beacon and Maxxom Johnston of Fremont; and his siblings, Jim Pelong of Knoxville and Julie Peters of Beacon.
