It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas McDowell of Oskaloosa, Iowa, who passed away on March 7, 2022, at the age of 58, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Ronald McDowell; his stepmother Linda McDowell; and his brother-in-law Doug Van Dell. He is survived by: his mother Patricia Scarff of Mt. Pleasant; his wife Sara Van Dell of Oskaloosa; his children, Jakob (Mary McDowell) of Pella and Kelsie McDowell of Des Moines; his grandson Judah McDowell; his siblings, Tony McDowell (Natalie) of Mt. Pleasant and Terri McDowell of Ottumwa; and his sister-in-law Lynn Waterman (David) of Macomb, Illinois. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Memorials may be made to the Women's Rugby Club at Iowa State.
