She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold George and Mary Eula Stade (Keefer); her stepfather Charles Oelberg; her sister Marie Stade; and her former husband John Frances Staffenhagen.
She is survived by: her children, John Charles Staffenhagen (Dawn) of Oelwein, Susan Mary Stearns (John) of Oskaloosa and Jennifer Rebecca Staffenhagen (Jo Jacobi) of Pleasant Hill; her grandchildren, John William Staffenhagen of Washington, D. C., Jordan Matthew Staffenhagen (Kristin) of Hazelton and Samantha Rae Stearns Fash (Jordan) of Des Moines; her great grandchildren, Brantley, Gavin and Emma; and her niece Denise Easton of Cedar Rapids.
