He is survived by: his mother Ila Marie Tennis Ruby of Oskaloosa; his former wife Brenda Kay Gipple; his wife Vicki Hadsell; his friends, Todd and Missy Gingrich; his children, Robert, Grant, Justin Ruby (Kaitlyne Rosenbaum) of Elk Point, SD and Taylor Ruby (Nathan Glanzer) of Onawa, IA; his stepson Chris Gipple (Erin) of Washington, IA; his grandchildren, Bentley and Dawson; his brother Stacy Ruby (Staci) of Melbourne, IA; and his nephews, Ryan Ruby (Brittany) and Lucas (Bree McClintock).
Due to the restrictions put in place by the Iowa Department of Public Health in an effort to stop the spread of COVID-19 all services will be private.
