He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Marvin Eugene and Donna Marie Smith (Ponto) of Oskaloosa; his wife Margaret Louise Davis; his son Daniel Stephen Smith (Kisha) of Bettendorf; his grandchildren, Aria and Everett; his siblings, David Smith of Oskaloosa, Linda Smith of Oskaloosa and Debbie Bassett of Des Moines; his stepson Austin Bonnema (Michelle) of Sandy; his stepgrandchildren, Lucy, Tessa and Lawson; his stepson Aaron Bonnema (Katie) of Stilwell; his stepgrandsons, Caleb and Connor; his brothers-in-law, Paul Davis (Terri) of Knoxville and Dale Davis (Steff) of Knoxville; and his brother Danny.
