He is survived by: his wife Karen Harvey; his children, Scott Maas (Wendy) of Ottumwa, Shelly Lewis (Tim) of Hiawatha and Jim Maas (Kari) of Cedar Rapids; his grandchildren, Taylor Maas (Marissa) of Ottumwa, Alec, Riley Maas (Gina) of Ottumwa, Courtni Heitland (Drew) of North Liberty, Matthew Lewis of Des Moines, Hayden Maas of Cedar Rapids and Paige Maas of Cedar Rapids; his great grandchildren, Brooks, Mila and Kasen; and his sister Carmen DeKoster of Okoboji.
