He was predeceased by: his parents, Cecil Smith and Pearl Smith (Cochran); his wife Marilee Gillespie; and his sisters, Pauline and Eleanor.
He is survived by: his children, Jan Oldfield (Steve) of Windsor Heights, Randy Smith of Lake Dallas and Greg Smith (Tracy) of Omaha, Nebraska; and his grandsons, Alex Smith (Becca) of Orlando, Ian Smith of Omaha and Hunter Smith of Temple, Texas..
