He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, James DeLong and Colleen DeLong (Swincoe); his wife Mary Petersma of Oskaloosa; his sons, John DeLong (Susan) of Dayton and James DeLong (Joni) of Oskaloosa, Iowa; his grandchildren, Josh DeLong (Katherine), Nash DeLong, Amber DeBruin (Brett), Tanner DeLong and Austin DeLong; and his siblings, Tom DeLong (Linda), Cheryl Cox (Kevin), Patricia, Cathy and Robin Brayton (Tim).
