It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald Lee Meriweather of Oskaloosa, Iowa, born in Newton, Iowa, who passed away on June 1, 2022, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Handy Austin "Pete" Meriweather and Gladys "Neva" Meriweather (Temple); his siblings, Clarence Cook, Dean Cook, Lois Koontz, Paul Meriweather, Phyllis Pierce and Robert Meriweather; and his son Shawn Meriweather.
He is survived by: his former wife Karen Frantz; his daughter Leanne; his wife Pam Meriweather of Oskaloosa; his children, LeeAnne Meriweather of Clive, Amy Meriweather of Springfield, MO and Christy Dykstra (Tim) of Pella; his grandchildren, Adeline Marvelli, Gregery Street, Emma Street, Catherine Cardoza, Elizabeth Cardoza, Mark Dykstra (Morgan), Sam Dykstra (Sarah), Patience Dykstra and Lisa Dykstra; his great grandchildren, Ellie, Phoenix, Harper, Grayson, Hendrix, Jordan, Kayson and Dirk; and his pet Angel Girl. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, extended family.
Memorials may be given in Ron's memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
