It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Retha Ray of Oskaloosa, Iowa, who passed away at the age of 93, on August 23, 2020. She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Madison and Florence Mae Rockwell Nash; her husband Donald Ray; her son Steven; her son-in-law Vernon Burris; and her siblings, Roberta (Floyd Richardson), Clarence, Jeanne Nash Jr. Ruth (Reba) and Wayne McWilliams.
She is survived by: her children, Cherie (Don Young), Sharon Ramona Burris of Oklahoma City, OK, Linda (Ted Smith), Don (Judy Ray) and Gary (Maxine De Wild). She is also survived by ten grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; and several nephews and nieces.
Visitation will begin at 11 a. m., Tuesday at the funeral chapel; the family will greet visitors from 5-7 p. m. According to the rules put in place by the Iowa Department of Public Health, proper social distancing and reasonable personal protective equipment are advised for attending this public event.
