It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Phyllis Vander Linden of Oskaloosa, Iowa, who passed away on May 9, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, James Clayton and Louise Mason (Cox) of Nevada; her husband Carl Vander Linden; her sons, Tom and Mark Doud; her granddaughter Krystal Doud; and her siblings, Ralph, James Mason and Ruthie.
She is survived by: her former husbands, John Johnston and Harold "Jumbo" Doud; her daughters, Terri Lynn Johnston of Columbia and Mary Louise Johnston-Eskew (Jesse) of Harrisburg, Missouri; and her siblings-in-law, Candy Mason of Washington, Ruth Bosch of Michigan, Ron Vander Linden of Pella and Greg Vander Linden of Arizona. She is also survived by seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson.
