It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Phyllis Jean Shearer (Oskaloosa, Iowa), born in Des Moines, Iowa, who passed away on October 19, 2019, at the age of 75, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Thacker and Leota Thacker (Staton); her husband Clarence "Sonny" Shearer; her siblings, Barbara Bruntmyer, Harry Thacker Jr., Alfred Thacker, Jo Ann Thacker, Elaine Delmege and Phillip Thacker; and her son-in-law Rande Henkle.
She is survived by: her children, Paula Henkle of Montezuma, Shelly Bennett of Cedar Rapids, Cheryl Jaramillo (D. J.) of San Antonio, TX and J. R. Shearer (Kara) of Montezuma; her sisters, Carol Holt of Minneapolis and Sharon Shoemaker (Roger) of Des Moines; and her sister-in-law Jo Barrow (Joe) of Montezuma. She is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and friends.
