He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin L. Dykstra and Helen Marshall Dykstra; his wife Jeneane Maughan of Mary's Catholic Church; and his sisters, Barbara Dennis and Carol Dykstra.
He is survived by: his children, Terry Dykstra (Peggy) of Oskaloosa, Jane Moe (Richard) of Provo, Daniel Dykstra (Grace) of South Jordan and Becky Dykstra of Oskaloosa; his grandchildren, Michael, Tiffany, Kristina, Chanelle, Desiree, Jaimie and Dana; and his great grandchildren, Dylan, Dawson, Daxton, Kambrey, Skyleigh and Willow.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bates Funeral Chapel (114 S 7th St, Oskaloosa, IA 52577). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Mary's Cemetery.
