He is survived by: his children, Steve (Julie Shields), Michael (Linda Shields) and Becky (Steve Gearhart); his grandchildren, Lauren Hubbell (Matt), Rachael Clutter (Jeff), Ben Gearhart (Anna) and Samuel Gearhart; his brothers, Carl Shields (Louise) of Tucson and Roger Shields (Jo) of Monument, Colorado; and his sister-in-law Carol Shields of Arizona.
