She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Blackwood and Annabelle Blackwood; her husband Max Welch; her siblings, Harold, Earl, Frank, Carl, John R., Louise, Edna, Gertrude, Esther and Ruth; and her son-in-law Clarence Grubb.
She is survived by: her children, Kathy Grubb of Oskaloosa, Kim Roozeboom (Mike) of Oskaloosa and Ted Welch (Connie) of Oskaloosa; her grandchildren, Kelly Fisher (Charles), Gordy Grubb (Paula), Kari Flaherty (Joe), Nicholas Welch (Cynthia), Kandis Sherlock (Matt), Jacob Welch (Amanda), Sarah Harms (Austin) and Mathew Hynick; and her sister Hazel DeHaai of Pella. She is also survived by twenty great grandchildren, five great great grandchildren.
