She was predeceased by: her parents, George L. Gabel and Goldie Mae Gabel (Huff); and her siblings, Lawrence Gabel, Norma Steffen, JoAnn Swank and Barbara Sytsma.
She is survived by: her husband Virgil of Marshalltown; and her sons, Daniel Thompson (Annette) of Newton, Mike Thompson of Gilman, Tom Thompson (Sydney) of Montezuma, John Thompson of Kellogg and George Thompson (Connie) of Montezuma. She is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
