It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Lucile DeWitt of Oskaloosa, Iowa, who passed away at the age of 89, on April 11, 2021. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Walraven and Martha Walraven (Van Toorn); her husband Donald Dewitt; her brother Marvin Walraven; her daughter-in-law Diane Dewitt; and her siblings-in-law, Evelyn Walraven, Vera LaRue (Okley), Raymond Dewitt, Charles Gene Dewitt (Helen) and Alvin Dewitt (Geraldine).

She is survived by: her sons, Robert Dewitt of Lacey, Jim Dewitt of Merriam, Dennis Dewitt (Marcy) of Lacey and Randy Dewitt of Lacey; her grandchildren, Angela Landers of Oskaloosa, Bryon Dewitt of Lacey, Callen Dewitt of Lacey and Tierney Dewitt of Oskaloosa; her great grandchildren, Torrin Dewitt, Hailey of Oskaloosa and Addison Landers of Oskaloosa; her sister Ruby Gabrielson (Clay) of Story City; and her sisters-in-law, Pearldene Dewitt of New Sharon and Frances Walraven of Oskaloosa. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

According to the rules put in place by the Iowa Department of Public Health, proper social distancing and reasonable personal protective equipment is advised for attending a religious public event.

Memorials may be made to Lacey United Methodist Church, North Mahaska Educational Foundation or Oskaloosa First Christian Church.
