She was predeceased by: her parents, Howard Boughton and Christena Boughton (Marion); and her siblings, Merle Boughton and Enid Mortland. She is survived by: her husband LeRoy Hurst; her children, Chris Edgington (Larry), Cynthia Osborne (Ozzie) and Becky Reed (Ron); her grandchildren, Charity Hodgson (Caleb), Bethany Williamson (Heath), Lindsay Griesemer (Derek), Jessica Brehmer (Isaac), Megan Powell (Brian) and Caitlin Oilar (Justin); and her great grandchildren, Micah, Jaron, Savannah, Kendal, Clayton, Emersyn, Hadley, Taya, Weston, Deekan, Kinsley, Kipton, Reed, Laken, Tate and Lucy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 3rd 2024 at 12:00 PM and from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Bates Funeral Chapel (114 S 7th St, Oskaloosa, IA 52577). A burial was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the Friends Cemetery (1802 N E St, Oskaloosa, IA 52577). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 4th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the Fellowship Bible Church (1000 A Ave W, Oskaloosa, IA 52577).
Memorials may be made to Mahaska County Relay For Life.
