She is survived by: her son Alan; her husband Roy Hess of Oskaloosa; her daughter Joyce Hess of Oskaloosa, Ala; her grandchildren, Arwen Rhodes, Erica Harold-Heine and Andrea Sherman; her great grandchildren, David Rhodes, Jr., Desiree Craig, Xavier Harold-Heine, Xander Harold-Heine, Hayden Sherman, Kayla Sherman and Lucas Sherman; and her sister Alice Kool of Eddyville.
