It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lloyd E. Van Hemert of Oskaloosa, Iowa, born in Pella, Iowa, who passed away on March 5, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parent Marion Lloyd; his wife Anna Rae; his son Bob (Shelia Rozenboom); his grandson Ryan Van Hemert; his siblings, Gary, John Van Hemert and Janice Cobler; and his siblings-in-law, Robert, Jerry, Donald, Virgil Rozenboom, Jeanetta Dykstra and Geraldine Samson.
He is survived by: his children, Stanley Van Hemert (Brenda) of Oskaloosa, Douglas Van Hemert of Fairfield and Renae Gillam (Digger) of Oskaloosa; his grandchildren, Nikki Shilling (Phil), Katie Rozenboom, Zachary Rozenboom, Gina Van Hemert, Luke Van Hemert, Elizabeth Lord (Alan), Scotimay Van Hemert, Cheyenne Van Hemert, Christopher Van Hemert, Cierra Gillam and Dakota Gillam; and his great grandchildren, Samara, Cason, Braylee, Naveah, Layla, Alicia, Taylin, Alice, Evelyn, Carly, Emma, Vash, Ryane and Harper.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial can be made to the MHP hospice Serenity House.
