She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Walter H. Hoyer and Lydia L. Hoyer (Thoms); her husband Les Andersen; her children, Pam Roberts-Robus of Oskaloosa, Peggy Hook (Wayne) of Cedar Falls, Charles McDonough (Linda) of Oskaloosa, Michael McDonough (Sandi) of Hiawatha and Sarah Francis of Oskaloosa; her grandchildren, Brenda Hook and Brian McDonough; and her sister Evelyn Padgett. She was also cherished by 12 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Stephens Memorial Animal Shelter in Oskaloosa.
