He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Peterson and May Peterson (Rudd); and his brother Rodger Peterson. He is survived by: his wife Carol Stanley Peterson of Oskaloosa; his daughter Jennifer Peterson of Chicago, IL; his sisters, Doris Peterson and Carmen Treptau (Hugo); and his sister-in-law Joyce Slykhuis (Roger) of Newton, IA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
