He is survived by: his stepchildren, Joey Silvers of Ottumwa, Cory Silvers of Ottumwa and April Lancaster (Rocky) of Ottumwa; his grandchildren, Brittany VanSteenwyk, Devin Ferguson, Tisha Ferguson, Austin Ferguson, Tyler Silvers (Dakota), Brady Silvers (Amanda), Andrew Silvers (Shelby) and Kyle Silvers; his great grandchildren, Aiden Silvers and Avery Silvers; and his brothers, Glen Plate (Peggy) of Oskaloosa, John Plate (Margaret) of Oskaloosa, Gene Plate (Darlene) of Glendale, Robert Plate of Oskaloosa, Ivan Plate (Joaquina) of Des Moines and Howard Plate (Elaine) of Lodi.
