It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Leon Roy Engelhardt of Oskaloosa, Iowa, born in Austin, Minnesota, who passed away on July 9, 2021, at the age of 50, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy August Engelhardt and Nina Jean Engelhardt (Nelson); and his grandparents, Roy Engelhardt, Alma Engelhardt, Walt Engeman and Hazel Engeman.
He is survived by: his girlfriend Amy Rasmussen; his former wife Michelle Lea Braden; his daughters, Bailey Plumb (Engelhardt) of Hannibal, MO, Brooke Engelhardt (Drake Coleman) and Breana Engelhardt; and his brother Randy "Red" Engelhardt.
In lieu of flowers, those who would like to make a donation in honor of Leon can do so to University Of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital to honor Leon's love for the Hawkeye "wave" at home football games.
