It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth Eugene Van Kooten of Oskaloosa, Iowa, who passed away on January 24, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Pete Kooten and Jennie Van Kooten (Swank); and his brothers, Hank and Cornie. He is survived by: his wife Marlene Lamb of What Cheer; his sons, Kevin Van Kooten of Rose Hill and Bryan Van Kooten of Pleasant Hill; his grandchildren, Abbey Van Kooten, Grant Van Kooten and Lilly McKay; his great grandchildren, Ayla Gannon, Ava Van Kooten and Cael Van Kooten; and his siblings, Elvin Van Kooten (Linda) of Iowa Falls, Marie DeBoef of Oskaloosa, Hermina Stursma (Bill) of Pella and Darlene Kloosterman (Elmer).
