John Van Roekel Obituary
We are sad to announce that on November 3, 2020 we had to say goodbye to John Van Roekel of Oskaloosa, Iowa. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Grover Roekel and Aletta Van Roekel (Van Wyk); his siblings, Allen Gene Van Roekel and Anna Mae (Jim Nation); and his parents-in-law, Garry and Irma Van Ommen.
He is survived by: his wife Janna Van Roekel of Oskaloosa; his children, Pam, Robert Waters of Des Moines, Doug and Lisa Van Roekel of Oskaloosa; his stepgrandchildren, Zach and Jared Boggess; his brother Henry; and his siblings-in-law, Nancy Van Roekel of Ankeny, Jerry and Yvonne Van Ommen of Toledo, Iowa. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
According to the rules put in place by the Iowa Department of Public Health, proper social distancing and reasonable personal protective equipment is advised for attending a religious public event. John's family requests that everyone attending the visitation and the funeral service please wear a mask.
