He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter David and Josephine Van Zomeren (Van Haaften); and his sister Nancy Verros. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Ann Jacobs; his children, Rick Van Zomeren of Oskaloosa, Kelli Reeves (Craig) of Sigourney and Jason Van Zomeren (Brandi) of Waterloo; his sisters, Joanne Roquet (Gerald) of Hedrick and Marylinn Rice (Jim) of Ottawa, IL; and his brother-in-law Don Verros of Pella.
