He was predeceased by: his parents, John Tunis and Grada "Grace" Fynaardt (Van Oene); his grandson Joshua Fynaardt; and his great grandchild Cameron Haluska. He is survived by: his wife Dolores Antolik of Oskaloosa; his children, Dr. Stephen Fynaardt (Karen) of Torrance, CA, David Fynaardt (Carol) of Eddyville, IA and Julie Barker (James) of Boone, IA; his grandchildren, Dr. Nathan Fynaardt (Maywan) of Irvine, CA, Daniel Fynaardt (Hailey) of New Orleans, LA, Andrew Fynaardt (Patty) of Placentia, CA, Jacob Fynaardt (Jennifer) of Eddyville, IA, John Fynaardt (Emma) of Rogersville, MO, Sarah Haluska (Michael) of Albia, Michael Barker of Blue Springs, MO and Dr. Rachel Gage (Mitchell) of Waukee, IA; and his great grandchildren, Lily, Jeremy, Jackson, Ashlyn, Henry, Poppy Fynaardt, Leigh, Reagan Haluska and Scott Gage.
