It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Harry Boender of Oskaloosa, Iowa, who passed away on November 29, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, William Boender and Christine DeVries Boender; his son Dan Boender; his great grandchild Ryker Boender; and his siblings, John Boender, Sam Boender, Cornie Boender, Ed Boender, Nellie Stouwie, Helen Bruxvoort, Kay Bruxvoort, Wilma Veldhuizen and Martha Sterk.
He is survived by: his former wife Elizabeth "Bynie" Rus; his wife Elizabeth Boender of Oskaloosa; and his children, Steve (Jan Boender), Donna (Roger Prins), Doug (Ginger Boender), William "Bill" (Julie Boender) and Beth (Dan Trumble). He is also survived by twenty five grandchildren, twenty seven great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Graveside Military Honors will be given by members of the Oskaloosa American Legion and V. F. W. According to the rules put in place by the Iowa Department of Public Health, proper social distancing and masks will be required for attending a religious public event.
Memorials will be made to the Oskaloosa Christian Grade School.
